AUSTIN, Texas — A day after announcing her presidential bid, Green Party candidate Jill Stein will hold a press conference Monday morning.

She will address the public about the future of medical marijuana in the United States, and why she supports legalization of the drug for adults and medical use for children.

Stein will also address the issue of “the war on doctor” as well as the fight to keep physicians in their roles.

Steins campaign and the Green Party are seeking to challenge Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump in the Nov. 8 election, and have been working on a campaign to become the presumptive nominee.

SteIN says her presidential campaign will “not only stop the Trump-Gore presidency, but will help to save American health care from a disastrous repeal of the Affordable Care Act.”

“We cannot afford to have our children die from a catastrophic lack of health care,” she said Monday.

The first presidential debate between Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump is scheduled for Monday at 8 p.m.

EST in Cleveland.
